Rentals Associate & Box Office Manager

Performance Garage


The Performance Garage, a space for dance, offers a studio and theater that houses classes, workshops, auditions, and performances throughout the year. We are looking for a part time Rentals Associate who can assist our Rentals and Operations Manager during the evenings and weekend. This position will ensure the smooth flow of traffic throughout the space by greeting visitors, answering questions, and maintaining the space. Administrative duties, such as preparing invoices, collecting payments, and data entry, will also be required.

In the spring, the Performance Garage will begin providing a Box Office for all performances at the space. At that time, the Rentals Associate has the potential to grow their position by taking on the extra duties of a Box Office Manager. Arrive prior to performances to disperse tickets, accept payments, and answer inquiries about pricing, scheduling, parking, etc. At the end of each shift, reconcile cash drawer, maintain records of transactions, and update customer database.

Key Responsibilities

  *   Represent the Performance Garage at the front desk by greeting visitors and answering questions

  *   Ensure that renters are adhering to rental guidelines, such as noise levels and proper space maintenance

  *   Prepare contracts, collect payments, invoice preparation, track receipts

  *   Open and lock up the space

  *   Schedule house managers for performances

  *   Manage the box office

Required Skills

  *   BA or related experience

  *   Knowledge of dance

  *   Customer service experience

  *   Proficiency with Excel and data entry

  *   Flexible evening and weekend schedule

  *   Ability to collect electronic payments / cash handling


$15 per hour / 10 hours per week (evenings and weekends)

Hours to increase with opening of Box Office
