5-7pm, we'll be hosting an Arts Industry Happy Hour at La Peg, followed by
our free monthly Scratch Night series for works-in-progress at 7pm. For $5,

performances, discuss Philly's theater scene, and meet others who share
This month, the Scratch Night lineup includes:
*Nightmare Fuel by Sarah Knittel *
This is Nightmare Fuel a brutal clown show created by Sarah Knittel, a skin
sack filled with comedy, blood and poop. With this project, Sarah is
exploring the nexus of fear, pleasure, gas lighting, and emo music. This is
an excerpt from Sarah’s 60 minute horror clown piece that she will be
performing at GOOD GOOD COMEDY, November 16th at 7:30 pm.
*Sophomore Performance and Coaching Project by University of the Arts –
School of Dance*
The Sophomore Performance and Coaching Project offers students the
opportunity to make physical, conceptual, choreographic, performative and
intellectual connections through engaging in creative process. An
interdisciplinary system, Sophomore Performance and Coaching Project is
designed to help students recognize the tools and methodologies used in
both dance creation and performance. 35 students will be dancing on stage
during the entire performance. Upcoming dates for this performance:
December 6-10, 2017 at the Merriam Theater
*Matt& by Matt Holmes*
Matt& is an improv comedy show starring Matt Holmes and an audience member.
Nothing is planned; it’s all made up as you’re watching it, based on
something yelled out by the crowd. Every performance is different. One
member of the audience winds up on stage and in the show. Matt& will be
appearing at the Philly Improv Theater’s annual Black Friday Comedy
Marathon and Albright College Improv Festival. Come improvise!
*I like chocolate – Part 2 by Irina Varina*
Irina continues her almost year-long practice of creating short pieces of
work with only two starting points/influencers – space where a performance
would take place, and what is on her mind at the time of making. Also,
well… how long her performance slot is. What is the practice here? Framing
her life experiences? Is there service in this or is it purely
self-indulgent? Does it all lead anywhere? (like a final full-length work)
Does it have to?
