Come MOVE tomorrow Nov 1 at Shebang with two great class offerings! Yes!

*Dancing Dynamically, Autonomously is at 10-11:30am! ONLY TWO CLASSES
LEFT!with Shannon Murphy*

*through November 8*
Dancing Dynamically, Autonomously, blends the imagery and functional
anatomy of Franklin Method with contemporary dance practices. Geared toward
professionals, the class challenges both the body and mind with direction
changes, alternating between sides of the body, and moving in and out of
the floor. Shannon is interested in playing the body during phrase work,
looking for dynamic ranges that come from desire and sensation as well as
other stimuli such as sound, the specifics of the studio, and the other
bodies dancing. Class often entails Franklin Method fascial warm ups,
improvisation, floor work, phrase work and small jumps. Contact knee pads
are suggested.

$12 artists + students/$15 general // $50 for a 5 class card // $100 for a
10 class card (good for 6 months) -

QiGong is the ancient 6,000 year old Chinese health practice, ‘grandmother’
to the more familiar Tai Qi Quan. QiGong evolved as a practice for
improving and maintaining health, and is the practice of generating and
moving energy. This is done through breath, healing sounds, movement and
imagery. We will work on bringing awareness and following the energy
through the form.
