*Flamenco Workshop with Alejandro Granados*

Pasión y Arte is thrilled to welcome back legendary flamenco performer and
instructor, Alejandro Granados for a series of 7 day workshops for basic
beginner and intermediate/advanced level students.

Alejandro will share his passion and exceptional technique training from
April 22-28th at the Overbrook Garage studio in West Philadelphia. This
workshop will take place instead of PyA’s regularly scheduled flamenco
drop-in classes, so you can easily add the workshops to your schedule. Take
your passion and dance training to the next level.

At the basic beginner level he will introduce the palo (rhythm family) of
Tangos, through palmas (hand-clapping), feet exercises and phrase work. He
will familiarize you with the structure of the traditional letra (verse) of
Tangos. He will guide you through the complex relationship between verse
and the dancer’s response.

For the intermediate/advanced level, Alejandro will be teaching the palo of
Solea por Bulerias. This level will be introduced to more complex footwork
patterns and phrase work that will eventually lead into understanding the
structure of Solea por Bulerias, He will expose the students to various
different verses in the Solea por Bulerias palo and explore the various
ways it can be interpreted as a dancer.
