Philadelphia’s own world-class “dance-for-camera” film festival returns! *The
2017 Screendance Festival* celebrates the nexus between the cinematic and
the choreographic! 20 "dance-for-camera" short films from film/dance-makers
from all over the globe, *Philadelphia*, *Brooklyn*, the* U.K.*, *Seattle*,
*Vancouver*, *Netherlands*, *Belgium*, and more are represented in two
separate screenings.

Enjoy a single screening, or *make it a night at the movies with a
double-feature*! The *Sleek *program will feature light-hearted and
aesthetically delectable films that are appropriate for all ages. The *Edgy*
program will feature films that explore the weird and wild, and make social
and political statements. Returning artists from the 2016 Screendance
festival include *Wilder Projects* and *Jason Andrews* & *Julia
Gleich* of *Norte
Maar*. Philadelphia artists’ work can be seen in both programs: *Zornitsa
Stoyanova*,* Lora Allen, *and* Elizabeth June Bergman. *Come enjoy this
world class event that Philadelphia can be proud to call its own for the
second consecutive year.
