***What is the PCTP?
Since 2013, The Philadelphia Community Tap Project has served as a platform
for FREE tap dance education and performance opportunities in the
Philadelphia area. The classes and performances, which are all accompanied
by live music, are accessible and open to anyone and everyone. No dance or
music experience required. No shoes? We got you there, too. Over the past
four years, almost two hundred people have participated in the project, and
this year promises to be the biggest year yet.

***This sounds awesome! Who is teaching these classes this year?
This year, Ray Hesselink <http://www.rayhesselink.com> (NYC) will be
creating a new piece of tap dance and live music in his signature style. We
are evoking music and rhythms inspired by Chick Webb, Duke Ellington and
Count Basie.

***What is the time commitment?
There are two rehearsals planned:

*Sunday, March 19, 2017: 12-3 pmSunday, April 23, 2017: 12-3 pm*
Both of the rehearsals will be at Sound Space, 2511 West Girard Avenue, 2nd

And two performances!
*Saturday, May 20, 8 pm*: Rhythm and Blues and Shoes
*Thursday, May 25, 7 pm*: National Tap Dance Day Celebration
Hall Courtyard)
Performances are optional, but you must attend both rehearsals.

***How do I sign up?
This year, we have room for many more participants! Sign up at
can also check out videos from previous year's performances.

Funding made possible by the Philadelphia Cultural Fund (2016-2017)
