Hartford-based dance company TNMoT AZTRo Performance Art and Dance Installation, LLC, returns to Philadelphia to debut their short experimental performance film, EQUATORS.

Through movement, sound, diagrams and conversation, EQUATORS depicts how marginalized populations experience the adversity associated with climate change. The filmed performance explores weather and environment, with movement and imagery reflecting queer black thought and luxe minimalism.

Utilizing heavy, stark sculptural elements and complex lighting designs, the stage sets reflect quality of life, territory, order, climate change, queerness and racial divides. The effect is to explore these themes as manifested in homes, neighborhoods and geography due to the impacts of zoning, segregation and gentrification.

Viewers may be provoked to rethink their expectations of climate, human-made boundaries, our bodies and our environment.
