Nora Gibson Contemporary Ballet kicks off the Philadelphia Science Festival
on April 21st & 22nd

Concert: 8pm. *This program runs approximately with no intermission/late
seating.*

>From inspiration to execution—art is a science, and science is an art.
Explore the intersection between creative expression and scientific
exploration through this stunning performance of "N o t h i n g T h a t I s
N o t T h e r e" from Nora Gibson Contemporary Ballet. Physics, object
oriented ontology, beauty, and essence crystallize in this ambient work for
7 dancers. This work was created in part during a residency at Kaatsbaan
International Dance Center in Tivoli, New York, and is the culmination of a
physics-based study by an aerospace mechanical engineer, Dr. Leslie
Lamberson, of Drexel University, and choreographer, Nora Gibson.

This work was made with support from Drexel University and the
collaboration with Dr. Leslie Lamberson's Dynamic Multifunctional Materials
Laboratory.
