Founder/choreographer Jessica Lang is known for transforming classical ballet language into artfully crafted, emotionally engaging contemporary works. This class will begin with a ballet warm up consisting of a barre and brief center exercises. Students will then learn and execute material from Jessica Lang Dance's current and diverse repertory of contemporary works to gain insights into the company’s practices.



Jessica Lang Dance returns to Philadelphia. The program includes four premieres Thousand Yard Stare (2015), Sweet Silent Thought (2016) or Her Road (2017), Solo Bach (2008) plus The Calling (2006) and Among the Stars (2010).

Performances take place Wednesday, April 5 at 7:30pm; Thursday, April 6 at 7:30pm; Friday, April 7 at 8:00pm; Saturday, April 8 at 2:00pm and 8:00 pm; and Sunday, April 10 at 3:00pm. Tickets cost $20-$60 and can be purchased in person at the Prince Theater Box Office, 1412 Chestnut Street, by phone 215-422-4580 or online http://princetheater.org/next-move.



$10 Student Rush and $20 Industry tickets are available day of show at the Box Office only.  (Must show valid student ID at pick-up or industry business card, membership or program). (Some restrictions may apply.)
