*THE DANCE LISTSERV*
This is just a refresher as we have had many new subscribers to the
listserv. To view the general rules and guidelines for posting, please go to

format may not be sent, so please take a moment to read.


*DANCE CALENDAR UPDATES*
Over the July 4th weekend, we updated the Dance Calendar software to add
some additional features and functionality. We have added such features as
spell check, iCalendar Subscription for All Events, new automatic posting to
event sites like Eventful, and a ton of updated social networking features.
Now once you post your event and it is approved, you can return to yoru
listing and easily promote it on the net!

We have also added additional event categories to include Dance Box Office,
Dance Pass, Fringe & Live Arts, and Free Events.

In addition, we have established relationships with several news media
sources so events listed on our site will be picked up for their print
calendar listings and online blogs.


*NEW DANCE TOOL BAR*
We have created a new browser tool bar just for Philadelphia Dance. It may
be easily downloaded and installed by going to ...

Besides up to the minute dance news and alerts, it offers your favorite
dance links, dance calendar, online chat, local weather, live radio and
podcasts, games and gadgets and a whole lot more. Give it a try! It can just
as easily be uninstalled if you do not like it. If you have *suggestions for
additional dance links *that should be added to the toolbar, please send
then to philadelphiadance at gmail.com

BANNER ADS TO PROMOTE YOUR SHOW*
While we had initially decided to reserve banner advertising on
PhiladelphiaDANCE.org and the Dance Calendar to those who participated in
the Dance Box Office program, we have had numerous requests to open this
feature up to others for promoting their shows and workshops. We have
decided to do this for a fee of $15 for 30 days of unlimited banner display.
Participants in Dance Box Office will continue to have their banners
displayed for free.

*PARTICIPATING IN THE PHILADELPHIA LIVE ARTS & PHILLY FRINGE*
Promote your events on PhiladelphiaDANCE.org

1. Be sure your event is listed on the all new Dance Calendar at
http://www.philadelphiadance.org/calendar/events/
Click on Submit Event and fill out the form accordingly. The new calendar
also has lots of social networking tools to promote your event. *Please
check first that your event is not already listed *as we have already added
many of the Live Arts events released by the Fringe office.

Events listed on the Calendar will be included in the August / Spetember
issues of our
Monthly eNewsletter as part of a special Dance at Fringe & Live Arts
Section!

2. Be sure to list your event in the Fringe & Live Arts section on the Dance
Web Forums!

3. Have a performance video clip to promote your show? Upload it to
