Dancefusion’s fusion2, a training company for young dancers  was formed in 1996 so that teenage pre-professional dancers would have the opportunity to train and perform throughout Philadelphia in cultural centers, schools, and public concerts. The pre-professional dancers study at the Gwendolyn Bye Dance Center. Graduates have gone on to Colleges and Universities including: dance programs of TISCH School of Arts at New York University, Barnard, Wesleyan, Temple, SUNY Purchase, Fordham and University of the Arts. They have also entered programs at Alvin Ailey American Dance Center, The Juilliard School, Paul Taylor Training Program, Martha Graham Dance Ensemble and Arthur Mitchell’s Dance Theater of Harlem and The Pennsylvania Governor’s School for Performing Arts. Admission reflects the high level of training students received from fusion2 and the Gwendolyn Bye Dance Center.
