Greetings Dance Patrons!!! Please come out and support Khepera Charter School's first dance recital.  The Verve Danz Ensemble is an after-school dance program under the direction of Sister Katina Mackey, M.Ed.   Show your support for positive youth who have a love for the Performing Arts.  Details about this performance are included below (or see attached flyer). I would love to have as many dance enthusiasts in the audience as possible. Mission Statement
The Mission of the Verve Danz Ensemble as a part of Khepera Charter School is to instruct students in the areas of Afrikan, Ballet, Jazz, Praise, and Hip-Hop Dance techniques while providing a safe haven for children after-school.  This after-school program is designed for students in grades Kindergarten to 8th who have a high-level of interest in the performing arts.  During the program, students are exposed to other genres of the performing arts to create a unique form of dance theatre.  Through this art form students learn the value and meaning of discipline, body awareness, and build self-esteem and self-confidence. Dance instruction culminates with an end of the year dance presentation/recital where the students have the opportunity to demonstrate their understanding of dance as a vehicle for self-expression and storytelling.  The goal of this program is to groom not only dancers, but well-rounded student performers.
