The Revolution Will Not Be Televised… It Will Be Performed!
“THE TIPPING POINT”: A Performance and Public Forum

“The Tipping Point”, by Jodi Netzer and The Conscious Collective, is a 
multi-disciplinary dance and physical theatre performance plus an 
interactive public forum, which demystifies the process of creating 
successful environmental, cultural, political, and highly-spirited 
movements. Brace yourself…on May 31st & June 1st, 2008, at the 
Community Education Center (CEC), 3500 Lancaster Avenue, Philadelphia, 
for a pay-what-you-can sliding scale of $10-$25, you too can start a 
revolution!

This collaborative project is inspired by Malcolm Gladwell’s bestseller 
“The Tipping Point: How Little Things Can Make a Big Difference”. In 
this book, Gladwell explains that ideas, trends, and social behaviors 
become popular in the same way that epidemics develop. Another literary 
inspiration is John Zerzan's “The Psychology of Mass Misery”, which 
discusses the phenomenon of how and when psychosis becomes the norm 
within the status quo.

The performance and forum will demonstrate interconnectivity, discover 
creative ways to sustainably prevent global climate change and 
injustice, and inspire the transformation of negative psycho-emotional 
environments into holistically healthy local and global communities. 
This project also dispels assumptions about overwhelmingly “impossible” 
goals so that you can directly impact your communities and public 
policy on a larger and more effective scale. The ideas that arise from 
the public forums will be collected and then electronically 
redistributed to the audiences from both performances.
