Travel back in time to ancient China with Princess Djeow, "the smallest
one," as she attempts to rescue her father, the Emperor, from the clutches
of evil men who would seek to have him imprisoned and rule over his kingdom.
Djeow is considered unimportant in her long and impressive family line; she
is certainly no threat to the evil men, but, in her own quiet way, steadily
changes the hands of fate for the entire kingdom. Children and adults alike
will be enchanted with the lessons of love and loyalty that Djeow displays,
proving that even the smallest among us can be the one to create the biggest
change. You won't want to miss this culturally rich experience of dance,
costumes, sets, music and traditional folk tale choreographed by Artistic
Director Joy Delaney Capponi and featuring the unparalleled dancing of
Philadelphia Dance Theatre.
