Dancing with the Star(ters): A Call For Teaching Artists  To Keep  
Philadelphia School Children on Their  Toes 
If you’re interested in having fun teaching the basics of  ballroom dancing 
to 5th graders, this could be just what you are  looking for! Dancing Classroom 
Philly’s  Ballroom Dance Program seeks additional “teaching artists”. The 
10-week  program is comprised of twice weekly 45-minute sessions during the 
school day  with classroom teacher participation. This is a paid position which 
includes the  training, teaching schedule, meetings, semi-final and final 
competition.  This licensed program runs from  September through December, and again 
from March through  June. 
Selected teaching artists must commit to four days of  training from July 
21-24, 2008 in New  York City by Mr. Pierre Dulaine, featured in the movie,  “Mad 
Hot Ballroom”.  Participants  will receive a stipend for travel, lodging and 
food  expenses.
