Susan Hess Modern Dance is pleased to welcome Simon Dove in a Masters Exchange session with the 2007-8 choreographers-in-residence on Sunday, March 2, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., at the studio on 
2030 Sansom Street.


Simon Dove, former artistic and general director of The Netherlands Springdance Festival and current chair of the Herberger College of Dance at Arizona State University, will be working with the current residents in SHMD's Choreographers Project in a daylong session on Sunday, March 2, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.  

Dove's extensive experience includes director positions at Harbourside Centre in Bristol, UK, and Yorkshire Dance in Leeds, UK.  He also founded and directed Vivarta - Contemporary South Asian Performance Festival, UK, and held positions at the Arts Council of Great Britain, Tara Arts Centre, and the Bhavan Centre, all in London.  In the Netherlands, Dove also provided individual coaching for post-graduate students in the Amsterdam High School for the Arts Choreography Masters Programme.
