Temple University and the Organization of Umfundalai Teachers (OUT) are 
seeking talented choreographers interested in presenting work for the 2008 
Umfundalai Intensive Concert. 

Accepting entries from students to professional level choreographers, OUT is 
looking for well-crafted, thoughtful work developed from neo-traditional to 
contemporary African dance idioms.

Presented by Temple University and the Organization of Umfundalai Teachers, 
the Umfundalai Intensive is a weekend of Wholistic African Dance Instruction 
scheduled to take place June 5-7, 2008 at Temple University. The weekend is 
intended for dancers, musicians, students, educators and members of the 
community interested in contemporary African dance technique.

The concert will be fully produced by the Temple University Dance Department 
and the Organization of Umfundalai Teachers. 

Submission Requirements:
•	VHS or DVD recording of proposed work (excerpts may be at least 2 
minutes)
•	Work should be timed between 7 to 12 minutes
•	One page resume 
•	Up to one page artistic statement describing the work

Application Deadline: Friday, March 7, 2008

Performance Date: Saturday, June 7, 2008
